What you get with PocoDisk

The DaisyDisk experience, rebuilt in SwiftUI and open-sourced — every byte of your Mac, finally visible.

Sunburst Visualization

The iconic radial chart of disk usage — folders sized proportionally, the offenders impossible to miss.

Collector Workflow

Drag files into a basket as you browse. Review, then delete the whole basket at once.

Quick Look Built-in

Hit Spacebar on any file to preview it inline — never delete the wrong thing again.

APFS Purgeable Space

Surfaces system-hidden purgeable storage so you finally see where your disk really went.

Procedural App Icon

The PocoDisk icon is generated at build time entirely in Swift — no PNG assets to maintain.

Get Started

Up and running in 5 steps

Free build from source. No account, no subscription, no credit card. Just clone and run.

1

Clone the repo

Grab the source from GitHub.

git clone https://github.com/joeydash/PocoDisk.git
2

Build the app

Run the build script — produces PocoDisk.app in the project root.

cd PocoDisk && ./build.sh
3

Open it

Launch the freshly built app.

open PocoDisk.app
4

Grant full disk access

macOS will prompt for Full Disk Access so PocoDisk can scan every folder. Approve once in System Settings.

5

Pick a volume and scan

Choose the drive to analyze. The sunburst paints as the scan progresses — start reclaiming space immediately.

How It Works

Three steps to a cleaner Mac

01
Scan your drive

Pick a volume — internal disk, external SSD, network share — and PocoDisk walks the filesystem to map every byte.

02
See the sunburst

The radial chart paints folder sizes proportionally. The huge wedges are exactly what you need to deal with first.

03
Collect & reclaim

Drag bloat into the collector basket, preview with Quick Look, then move it all to Trash in a single click.

Features

Everything DaisyDisk does — and free

Sunburst Disk Chart

The iconic radial visualization that makes huge folders impossible to miss. Drill in by clicking a slice.

Multi-Volume Support

Scan internal drives, external SSDs, USB sticks, and mounted network shares — each as its own view.

APFS Purgeable Space

Surfaces hidden purgeable space so 'where did my disk go?' finally has an answer.

Drill-Down Navigation

Breadcrumb back/forward history. Zoom into any folder and step back out without losing context.

Quick Look Preview

Tap Spacebar on any file — same Quick Look you know from Finder, before you delete anything.

Collector Workflow

Drag suspicious files into a basket as you browse. Review the full list, then delete in one go.

Native SwiftUI

No Electron, no JVM, no Python runtime. Lightweight, fast, and at home on Apple Silicon.

Context Menus

Right-click for Reveal in Finder, Move to Trash, Get Info, Copy Path — the actions you already know.

No Telemetry, Ever

Runs entirely on your machine. No analytics, no account, no cloud — nothing leaves your Mac.
