AI cold calling
AI cold calling that books the meeting.
AI cold calling puts a voice agent on your outbound list. It places the call, says who it is and who it is calling for, asks your qualifying questions, and books a meeting on a rep’s calendar when the prospect is a fit.
It works the whole list at the same pace, in 20+ languages, and it stops when someone says no: opt-outs are written back and honored in every future campaign. Your reps spend their hours on the conversations that are ready for them.

Hi, is this Dana? This is Ava, an AI assistant calling for Ledgerline. You registered for our payroll webinar last week. Do you have two minutes?
- Caller00:07
Sure, two minutes.
- AI agent00:09
How many people are on payroll today, and what do you run it on?
- Caller00:14
About eighty. Spreadsheets and an outside accountant.
- AI agent00:19
That is the size our specialists work with most. Would a 20-minute call help? I have Wednesday at 11 or Thursday at 2.
- Caller00:26
Thursday at 2. And only call my mobile, not the office line.
- AI agent00:30
Booked for Thursday at 2. I have taken the office number off our list.

How an AI outbound call runs, start to finish.
Cold, in the sales sense: a first conversation, not a call nobody agreed to. The checks happen before the dial, the disclosure in the first line, and the record after the last.

- 02Call placedInside the local calling window
- 03DisclosedAgent, company and AI, in the first line
- 04QualifiedYour questions, your definition of a fit
- 05Booked or transferredRep’s calendar, or a live warm transfer

- Checked before the dial
- Every number is checked against your suppression list and the national registry before it is called.
- Called inside the window
- Calling windows are enforced per region, in the prospect’s local time.
- Disclosed in the first line
- The agent names itself and your company in its opening line and says it is an AI. You control the wording, and the disclosure is logged on every call.
- No means no
- An opt-out spoken on the call is written back immediately and honored in every future campaign.

Unwanted calls still draw millions of complaints a year.
Automated calls that ignore consent are why people stop answering unknown numbers. The FTC received more than 2.6 million Do Not Call complaints in fiscal 2025, most of them about robocalls. The only outbound program worth running is one that keeps the rules.

AI cold calling rules in the US, and how the agent follows them.
In February 2024 the FCC ruled that AI-generated voices are “artificial” voices under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, so the robocall rules apply to AI outbound calling. This is a summary, not legal advice. State laws can be stricter; check your campaigns with counsel.
| What the FCC rule says | What the agent does | |
|---|---|---|
| Consent | Telemarketing calls using an artificial or prerecorded voice to mobile numbers and residential lines need the called party’s prior express written consent. | Calls only the lists you load. Load contacts who have given consent, and keep the consent record in your CRM. |
| Calling hours | No telephone solicitation to a residential subscriber before 8 a.m. or after 9 p.m., local time at the called party’s location. | Calling windows are enforced per region before each dial. |
| Do-not-call | No telephone solicitation to numbers on the National Do Not Call Registry, with limited exceptions. Call lists must be scrubbed against a copy no more than 31 days old. | Numbers are checked against your suppression list and the national registry before dialing. |
| Identification | An artificial-voice message must name the business responsible for the call at the start, and give a telephone number during or after the message. | The opening line names your company and says it is an AI. Add your callback number to the script. |
| Opt-out | Artificial-voice telemarketing calls must offer an automated opt-out. Consent revoked by any reasonable means must be honored within ten business days. | A spoken opt-out is written back immediately and suppressed in every future campaign. |

Where AI outbound calling earns its place.
- 01Speed to lead
Inbound lead follow-up
Call web-form leads back the moment they arrive, while they still remember filling in the form.
- 02Events
Event and webinar follow-up
Call registrants after the session, ask what they came for, book a call with a specialist.
- 03Re-engage
Dormant CRM records
Re-work old “not now” leads on a schedule and surface the ones whose timing has changed.
- 04Lists
Partner lead lists
Bulk lead files from partners are de-duplicated against your CRM before a single dial goes out.
- 05Customers
Renewals and upgrades
Call existing customers ahead of a renewal date and book a review with their account manager.
- 06Booking
Appointment setting
Qualify, then put the meeting on a rep’s calendar with an invite and a reminder.
From list to first booked meeting, in four steps.
- 01
Load a list you may call
Upload a CSV or connect your CRM. Numbers are de-duplicated and checked against your suppression list and the national registry before any dial.
- 02
Write the conversation
The opening line and disclosure, your qualifying questions, the answers the agent may give, and what counts as a fit. Anything outside the script goes to a person.
- 03
Set the rules
Calling windows per region, how many attempts per number, and where meetings go: a rep’s calendar, or a live warm transfer when a rep is free.
- 04
Listen, then scale
Run a small slice first, read the transcripts and adjust the script. Then open the full list; the platform scales to thousands of concurrent calls.
Questions buyers ask first.
Work the whole list. Keep every rule.
Send us your list type, your qualifying questions and where meetings should go. We will build the agent, run it on a small slice with you listening, and only then open the full campaign.
